2nd International Postgraduate Course on Sports Surgery and the 16th Congress of the Hungarian Arthroscopy and Sport Surgery Association
Dear Colleagues,
It is our pleasure to inform you that the Hungarian Arthroscopy and Sports Surgery Association – in cooperation with the Hungarian Society of Sports Medicine and Hungarian Association for Physiotherapy – will organize the joint meetings of the 1st International Postgraduate Course on Sports Surgery and the 16th Congress of the Hungarian Arthroscopy and Sport Surgery Association which will be held in Balatonalmádi, Hungary between 11-13 April 2024.
Our intention is to rely on our experiences gained by the organization and the success of previous international congresses and symposiums. Several acknowledged speakers have accepted our invitation to the Congress both from Hungary and abroad. Former leaders of ESSKA (prof. Lars Engebretsen, prof. Niek van Dijk) and Leaders of the Turkish Arthroscopy Society (TUSYAD) will also be participating.
Topics of the lectures held by our national and international invited speakers will include the latest updates on arthroscopic surgical solutions of the different joints. In addition, a course organized for physiotherapists and theatre nurses will also help improve their skills to ensure the best quality of patients’ care.

The congress’s professional organising committee plans to include mainly invited international and national speaker’s lectures in the programme. A limited number of free papers of outstanding professional interest related to arthroscopy or sport surgery will be accepted for review. The registration fee includes:
– participation in scientific sessions
– the congress programme book and a scientific summary of the Congress
– a continuous selection of coffee, tea, refreshments and snacks during the congress
– participation in the Welcome Reception on the first day of the Congress (11 April)
– VAT
Banquet dinner: 25 000 HUF/person (approx. 68 EUR)
will be held on the second day of the congress (Friday evening) in the hotel’s banquet room.
Lunch: 9990 Ft/day/per person – buffet lunch (approx. 27 EUR)
Prices include 21,26% VAT.
Payment terms: Registration, ordering dinner and lunches and booking accommodation is possible through the conference secretariat. In case you wish to participate on the conference, your are kindly asked to send an E-mail to mat@altagra.hu
The conference secretariat will register you and send you a deposit request letter by the deadline indicated. Upon receipt of the payment, you will be sent an invoice to the email address provided by the participant in the billing details.
The invoice will show the costs broken down as follows:

Payment method: Payment is made by bank transfer based on the deposit request. The deposit request will contain all the information necessary for the transfer. Please read it carefully.
Cancellation conditions: cancellations will only be accepted in writing: mat@altagra.hu
If cancellation is received by 11 February 2024, the participation fee already paid will be refunded with a 30% technical fee or the transfer of the participation to another name will be accepted. For cancellations received between 11 February and 28 March, 70% of the fee paid will be charged as a technical fee, the remained amount will be refunded or the transfer of the participation to another name will be accepted. For cancellations received after 28 March, we are no longer able to offer refunds or accept the transfer of participation to another person.

Dear Participant! Video recordings of the event may be made in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Code on public participation and public recording. The purpose of the recordings is to record the organisers’ events and to verify that the events have taken place. The footage may be published on the organisers’ websites, publications and social media platforms. If you do not wish to be included in the footage, please indicate your wish to be excluded by signing your name and signature at the time of registration.
